The National Miniature Horse Society of New Zealand Inc. was founded in 19.. and is comitted to all aspects of promoting the Miniature Horse. The society is made up of like minded Miniature Horse enthusiasts who share a vision for the future of the Miniature Horse industry in New Zealand.The society holds two shows a year - The North Island Championship Show and the NMHSNZ Grand Championship Show, as well as the annual Hi-Points competition.Our registry is fastly growing with a large number of people wishing for a friendlier atmosphere where being involved with Miniature Horses is not just about winning, but about having fun.Wether your interest is showing, breeding or recreation, The National Miniature Horse Society of New Zealand offers a friendly, helpful and rewarding range of opportunities where everyone is welcome and feels at home.

The National Miniature Horse Society of New Zealand welcomes all new members who are passionate about the promotion and future of the Miniature Horses in New Zealand.Membership entitles you to:- Registration Privliages- Free subscription to "Mini Mag"- Discounted entry fees to our shows- Paticipation in promotions like EquidaysAs a society made up of everyday New Zealanders, we know the financial strains due to the recession and we have therefore done our best to keep membership fees to a minimum.

Registration

Any horse that meets the Miniature Horse height criteria is able to be registered with the National Miniature Horse Society of New Zealand however you must be a member to register a horse under your name.

All horses registered with the Ntional Miniature Horse Society of New Zealand are presented with a temporary registration certificate.

When your horse turns 5, the temporary registration certificate becomes invalid and you will be required to apply for a permanent registration certificate - this certificate will be valid until the death of the horse.

The National Miniature Horse Society of New Zealand holds two shows a year.- The North Island Championship Show- The NMHSNZ Grand Championship ShowThe Society is RAS affiliated and A&P Shows are very popular amoungst our members. We hold an annual Hi-Points competition for the members of the National Miniature Horse Society of New Zealand, with several awards ensuring that most go home a winner in at least one category.

Every year, NMHSNZ hold an annual Hi-Points competition. This competition is open to all horses registered with NMHSNZ.To enter a horse, you must also be a member of NMHSNZ.There are several awards to be won by entering the hi-points competition such as the NMHSNZ overall horse of the year, and NMHSNZ overall activity or endurance horse of the year.With so many awards, why wouldn't you enter this great competition?PLEASE NOTE: Hi-Points cards, rules and entry forms are not being sent out this season. You can download these for free here on the Hi-Points page.
